LIMITED WARRANTY ON LEGACY LOGO METAL CLAD DOORS

CREST METAL DOORS, INC. WARRANTS THAT ITS LEGACY LOGO METAL CLAD DOORS WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF TWENTY (20) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Conditions of Warranty:
CREST METAL DOORS, INC. shall not be liable under the foregoing warranty unless the following conditions are met:
1) Doors must be inspected upon arrival for visible defects. CREST doors are warranted to conform to the Door Size Dimensional Standard and Assembly Tolerances for Insulated Steel Door Systems published under ANSI/ISDI 100-90.
2) Doors must be handled properly and stored in a clean, dry, well-ventilated building. Avoid condensation, exposure to corrosive fumes and excessive heat. Store doors on a flat level area. Doors should be of similar sizes and aligned when stacked to eliminate crushing damage.
3) CREST METAL DOORS, INC. can assume no responsibility for doors cut down in size, or when utility or structural strength is impaired in fitting or application of hardware.
4) Jambs and stops must square and plumb. Three thirty-second inch (3/32") clearance must be allowed for expansion of door or frame. CREST METAL DOORS, INC. is not responsible for problems due to improper assembly or installation.
5) Finish must be applied within 45 days of installation. All surfaces of the Legacy Logo door installation, including the top and side edges of the door, must receive a finish coat of high-grade exterior acrylic latex paint after thorough cleaning. All surfaces of the door installation must be refinished regularly within the period of durability recommended by the paint manufacturer.
6) In cases where doors have light openings, openings must be sealed securely. Light manufacturer's instructions, including use of light finish colors must be followed. Doors with CREST installed lights shall not be installed behind storm doors.
7) Preparation for and installation of hardware should be accomplished so that water will not enter the inner parts of the door.
8) This Warranty is applicable only to doors that have received reasonable and continuous maintenance and refinishing appropriate for the environmental conditions in which they are placed, and have been handled, stored, maintained and used in accordance with accepted standards and practices of the industry.
CREST METAL DOORS, INC. shall not be liable for installation, removal, or reinstallation costs or for any other consequential, indirect or incidental damages or for any amount in excess of its sales price for the door(s) in the shipment involved, whether the claim is for breach of warranty or negligence CREST METAL DOORS, INC.’S liability hereunder in any case is expressly limited, at its option, to (1) repair of the door(s) without charge; (2) replacement of the door(s) without charge, in the same stage of fitting and/or finishing as originally supplied; or (3) refund of the price paid to it for the door(s). CREST METAL DOORS, INC. will perform its obligations under the warranty within thirty (30) days after receipt of appropriate notice and confirmation of the existence of a defect

Any warranty claim by purchaser with respect to the doors for any cause shall be deemed waived by purchaser unless:

1)

If at the time a door shipment is received, said door(s), is found to have a defect(s) which can be reasonably discovered by inspection of each door(s), the purchaser must, prior to hanging or fitting, and within thirty (30) days, send written notice of said discovered defect(s) to CREST METAL DOORS, INC., 157 Humble Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78225

2) If a defect is discovered or occurs after a door is fitted and hung, written notice of said defect(s) must be sent to CREST METAL DOORS, INC. within thirty (30) days from the date purchaser discovered or should have discovered the failure, and, in any event, within twenty (20) years from date of purchase.
CREST METAL DOORS, INC. will not be liable for any door(s) repaired or replaced without its prior consent.
CREST METAL DOORS, INC. reserves the right to defer action for a period up to twelve (12) months from the date of complaint in cases when warping and/or photographing may occur after installation. Door(s) must remain hung and be properly installed during that period.
